Why I Think Investing in Coaching is Risky Business

Apr 10, 2023 | Uncategorized

Here is a recent conversation I had with someone after I shared how much I pay for coaching.

Her “Man! That’s a lot of money.”
Me, “I know!”
Her, “I cannot wrap my brain around spending that kind of money.”
Me, “I can!”
…and I do. And here is my why…

Because I am worth the investment.

Because I wouldn’t think twice about spending that on my kid;
college tuition, religious school, sports, music, scouts, school trips, braces, therapy, private school, private tutoring, private lessons, uniforms, and instruments, the list seems endless but no match for what I would invest in my child.

And I know I am not alone.

Why do we do this?

Because we believe in our kids.
We want them to have the childhood we couldn’t or didn’t have.
We want to set them up for a successful life.

But when it comes to investing in ourselves, we never have the time, the energy, or the money. We literally give until nothing is left.

Investing in our children instead of ourselves means our kids get all of our support, and in turn, they take all the risk.

My ask is that you take a risk on yourself!

Life Coaching can help you start, scale, or shift your business.
Life Coaching can help you win that big promotion.
Life Coaching can help you get the “balls” to go after that big promotion (you know, the one you will win when you put your hat in the ring).
Life Coaching can help your mindset around your place in the world as a stay-at-home mom.
Life Coaching can help you find that part of you lost somewhere between cleaning up vomit in the middle of the night, breastfeeding the baby while barely feeding yourself, and still getting the kids to school on time.
Life Coaching can help you figure out what’s now, what’s new, and what’s next during the pivotal times of your life.
Life Coaching can help your marriage, finances, time, and energy. Life Coaching can touch all aspects of your life.

Here’s what I know. I am worth the investment. You are worth the investment. The question is, are you willing to move through the risk?

Your Life is Full of Synchronicities

I was on vacation with the family when we decided to go hiking in the mountains. Some local hikers suggested a starting point, and we kind of just went with it. OMG, a couple of grueling hours later, we reached the top. Climbing that mountain was physically one of the...
